Terms of Service

Agreement

By installing or using LedgerBridge, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

License grant

LedgerBridge grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app as a Shopify merchant. This license is active while the app is installed on your Shopify store.

What the app does

LedgerBridge posts journal entries to your connected accounting platform based on Shopify Payments payout data. It groups transactions into accounting categories and builds balanced debit and credit entries.

Merchant responsibility

  • You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of journal entries posted by LedgerBridge
  • LedgerBridge is a sync tool, not an accounting advisor
  • You should review posted entries and consult a qualified accountant for accounting decisions
  • You are responsible for configuring correct account mappings

Billing and subscription

Billing is handled through the Shopify App Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation are governed by your Shopify merchant agreement. Refunds follow Shopify's App Store refund policies.

Support

Support is provided via email at support@ledgerbridge.app. LedgerBridge will make reasonable efforts to respond to support requests but does not guarantee response times or resolution.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." LedgerBridge makes no guarantee of accounting accuracy, tax compliance, or fitness for a particular purpose. LedgerBridge is not a substitute for professional accounting advice.

Limitation of liability

LedgerBridge is not liable for incorrect journal entries, reconciliation errors, or accounting discrepancies resulting from the use of the app. Total liability is limited to fees paid for the app in the preceding 12 months. LedgerBridge is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Suspension and termination

  • You may terminate at any time by uninstalling LedgerBridge from the Shopify admin
  • LedgerBridge may suspend or terminate access if the app is used in violation of these terms, if required by Shopify, or if necessary to protect service integrity
  • On termination by either party, the license ends and LedgerBridge will delete merchant data within 30 days, consistent with the data retention policy in the Privacy Policy

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Modifications

LedgerBridge may update these terms with notice via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will include at least 30 days notice.
